THE OFFICIAL DECISION: Yair Rodriguez def. Alex Caceres via split decision (49-46, 48-47, 48-47)

#13 Yair Rodriguez vs Alex Caceres - ROUND 5/5 Fifth and final round is underway. This has been an incredible fight thus far. They touch gloves and start aggressively. Both men miss with big shots. They clinch and Caceres gets Rodriguez up against the fence. A good knee lands for Caceres and Rodriguez lands one of his own as they break. Another hard knee lands for Rodriguez. Two good jabs land for Rodriguez, who is pushing the pace in this final round. Caceres lands a hard right hand. Caceres gets a big takedown and Rodriguez is able to scramble and get Caceres down. Caceres does the same and they reset on the feet. Left hand lands for Rodriguez. Referee Herb Dean calls for time to cut some tape off the glove of Rodriguez, and we are on again. Right hand lands for Rodriguez. More shots land for Rodriguez who is looking to work right up until the final bell. A hard left counter lands for Caceres. A hard leg kick lands for Caceres. #13 Yair Rodriguez vs Alex Caceres - ROUND 4/5 They meet in the middle of the cage right at the start of round four. First time these men have been in the fourth round in the UFC. Right hand lands for Caceres. Rodriguez spins but Caceres is able to block his attack. A good shot lands for Rodriguez but Caceres is able to counter. Body kick lands for Rodriguez. Spinning kick just misses for Rodriguez. His attacks have slowed down considerably, so they are becoming easier to read. Caceres lands a right hand. Another left hand lands for Caceres. Rodriguez lands a right hand and looks for a combination. A good right hand lands for Caceres that forces Rodriguez backwards. A huge side kick lands for Rodriguez. The attack here is back-and-forth. Both men land counters, Rodriguez's landed a lot cleaner. A hard jab lands for Rodriguez. Caceres is trying to walk down Rodriguez, who lands a good jab. #13 Yair Rodriguez vs Alex Caceres - ROUND 3/5 Round three. They touch gloves and Caceres takes the middle of the cage. Rodriguez lands to the body. Rodriguez is the much more effective fighter pressing forward, as he lands a knee. Caceres is unable to get counters in, as he eats a left hand. A hard left hand lands for Caceres, lets see if he opens up a bit more. Rodriguez pushes forward and Caceres is able to push him off and land on the break. Rodriguez spins and misses. Both men have slowed down considerably. Body kick lands for Rodriguez. Right hand lands for Caceres, and Rodriguez comes back with one of his own. Caceres lands a left, and once again Rodriguez comes up with one of his own. Caceres lands a hard knee to the body as he pushes forward on Rodriguez. Caceres really pushing forward, and putting a lot of pressure on. Caceres gets Rodriguez down and ends up in his guard, Rodriguez is working hard off his back but he is eating some really hard shots. Caceres is looking to finish the fight from this position, Rodriguez is defending well though. Caceres lets him get back to his feet and thats time. #13 Yair Rodriguez vs Alex Caceres - ROUND 2/5 Second round. It's been an incredible fight thus far. They touch gloves. Caceres is dropped with a head kick but he gets right back up to his feet. Rodriguez is really throwing flying shots coming out of this first round, looking for that spectacular finish. Caceres is starting to read some of these spinning moves, but he can't seem to get any shots of his own in. Rodriguez lands more hard shots, they clinch and break. Rodriguez is chasing Caceres around the cage. Leg kick lands for Rodriguez. Huge left hand lands for Caceres. Rodriguez still pushing forward. Rodriguez misses with a flying knee. Side kick lands for Caceres. Rodriguez looks for the takedown and lands an elbow to break when he can't get it. Right hand lands for Rodriguez. Inside leg kick lands for Rodriguez. Caceres is trying to let his hands go as he misses with the spin. Rodriguez misses with a spin as both men start smiling at each other. Good combination lands for Rodriguez. Huge flying double-kick lands for Rodriguez as he lands a combination behind it. Caceres lands a spinning back kick, and another jump kick lands for Rodriguez, followed by a hard head kick. Right hand lands for Rodriguez as Caceres moves forward. Rodriguez pushes forward and they clinch, Caceres lands a right hand as they break. Nice shot over the top lands for Caceres, and Rodriguez lands a head kick. Caceres gets the takedown but Rodriguez gets right back up to his feet. Leg kick checked by Caceres. Both men miss with flashy kicks. Huge spinning kick seems to land across the face of Caceres. Rodriguez gets a takedown off a combination and Caceres is able to get right back up to his feet. Coming off an incredible flying head-kick knockout win over Andre Fili, where he won performance of the night honours, #13 Rodriguez’s explosiveness has made him a fan favourite.

Unbeaten in the UFC, and riding a five-fight streak, the Ultimate Fighter winner Yair Rodriguez is looking to make a statement in his main event debut.

Riding a two-fight win streak, over the dangerous Masio Fullen and Cole Miller, Caceres is now looking to derail Rodriguez’s hype train, and start up his own in the process.

After going from July 2014 until January 2016 without a win, Caceres seems to have finally found his octagon presence again.

Now a UFC veteran after signing with the company in 2011, Caceres has had his ups and downs.

#8 Dennis Bermudez vs Rony Jason - ROUND 3/3 Final round underway. They touch gloves and get the crowd into the fight as they look to put on a show for the final round. Inside leg kick lands for Bermudez. Flying knee lands for Jason. Jason just misses with a kick. Another inside leg kick lands for Bermudez. Bermudez lands a leg kick but Jason hits him with a hard counter. One-two followed by a vicious leg kick all land for Bermudez. Bermudez lands a good jab. Bermudez shoots for a takedown but Jason is able to stuff it as they get back up to their feet. A hard left hook lands for Jason on an exchange. Another good left lands for Jason. Leg kick lands for Bermudez. Bermudez looks for another takedown, but Jason is able to switch as he gets he full mount. Jason looks for the rear-naked choke and he has both hooks in. Bermudez is able to survive and get into the full guard of Jason. Bermudez lands an elbow on top. Followed by another. Jason is trying to push Bermudez off of him, and Bermudez is still just landing short shots on Jason. More shots land for Bermudez on top and this is how the fight will end. Great fight. #8 Dennis Bermudez vs Rony Jason - ROUND 2/3 Round two is underway. They touch gloves and look to get right back to work. Body kick lands for Jason. Jason lands a right hand on Bermudez that drops him, but Bermudez is able to get the takedown right away and is now looking for the back of Jason. Bermudez lands more shots on top as Jason's cut has been reopened. Bermudez does well to stay in a dominant position. Jason gets back up to his feet and is able to circle away. Hard leg kick lands for Bermudez. Jason just misses with a flying knee. Jason lands a body kick. Bermudez lands to the body and to the head, followed by a leg kick. Bermudez shoots and gets a good single leg takedown as he looks to land more shots on the ground. Jason is able to escape and get back up to his feet. Jason lands a right hand as Bermudez moves forward, but Bermudez shoots and gets another takedown. Jason, however, is able to fight back to his feet once again. Jason lands a body kick. Bermudez lands a leg kick. Right hand lands for Bermudez as he shoots for a single leg takedown. Bermudez lets go and lands a right hand as the they break. Jason misses with a huge left hook.
