England won the first of the ODI matches between those two sides, but only by the Duckworth-Lewis method which saw Pakistan fall 44 runs short of what would have been a winning total.

Pakistan batted first in the match and put up a total of 260 runs for England to chase, with the highlight of their innings being 82 from opener Azhar Ali.

England had a good start to their innings despite the early loss of Alex Hales, with Jason Roy (65) and Joe Root (61) putting together a solid partnership of 89 runs.

They ultimately were only able to manage 34.3 overs of play before the match was called to a premature end, and with a total of 194 runs to that point they finished well above the required number of 151.

The two nations will be hoping they get to play out a full match today and get a true result without having to use the calculator.

England look to be the favourites after their good start in the first match, combined with the advantage that comes from playing at home.

Prediction
England appear the likely victors here, they should record a win on home soil.
