Ex Rooster and Waratah joins Harlequins

By The Roar / Editor

Harlequins have announced the signing of former Sydney Roosters and NSW Waratahs back Alofa Alofa.

Alofa, who can play at centre or wing, will move to the Twickenham Stoop from French club La Rochelle.

Quins have not disclosed the length of the 25-year-old’s contract.

“I am really pleased to have secured the signing of Alofa. He is a dynamic and powerful player with the ability to break the line,” Quins rugby director John Kingston said.

“His versatility in being able to play outside centre and wing is an added bonus and I have no doubt our supporters will enjoy watching him when he puts on the Harlequins shirt.”

Alofa began his career in the NRL with the Roosters before switching to union in 2013, playing for Shute Shiled side West Harbour, the Waratahs and then La Rochelle. He has won three international caps for Samoa.
