Brownlow Medal 2016: How to watch the count on TV or online

The 2016 Brownlow Medal for the AFL’s best and fairest player will be awarded Monday September 26, in the lead-up to the 2016 AFL Grand Final.

Hosted by Channel Seven’s Bruce McAvaney, this year’s Brownlow Medal will also feature a tribute to 1989 Brownlow medallist Paul Couch as well as the presentation of the Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award.

The AFL goal and mark of the year will also be announced.

Channel Seven has free-to-air television rights to the famous count and if you live in Australia you can catch the action on either Channel Seven or Seven Mate (depending on which part of the country you live in).

Seven will also broadcast the Red Carpet special from 7.30pm AEST if you want to see the players rock up in their suits alongside their better halves.

Foxtel channel Fox Footy will also broadcast the Brownlow Medal including a special AFL 360 show before the event with Gerard Whateley and Mark Robinson.

If you can’t get to a television there is a streaming option if you have subscribed to the AFL Live App. If you haven’t you can sign up for a weekly pass for $4.99 which will also give you access to the AFL Grand Final on your mobile.

Foxtel Go will also stream the event on the Fox Footy channel.

If you live overseas, the best option is to sign up for an AFL weekly Global Pass for $17.

Of course, if you can’t tune in to the Brownlow, The Roar will have you covered with live updates round-by-round on the night.
