WATCH: This schoolboy number 8 will run rings around you

By The Roar / Editor

Not your traditional number 8, Dylan Pietsch is a tackle busting machine who can run the length of the field faster than most wingers.

Dylan played for the Kings School in the 1st XV this year, also representing the NSW Schoolboys, the Australian Schools Barbarians and the Australian sevens under 18 side.

The epic montage compiled by Henry Schofield also showcases his brutal sidestep and rattling defence.

Hopefully we will see Dylan representing the Australian U20s in next year’s World Rugby U20s Championship.

Or you could further develop the core roles he has learnt as a number 8 and he can make the position his own. Looks very good in the lineout to me.

Impressive and will be more than a handful and will hard to stop as he is Nonu-like if playing at 12 or 13 at senior level. A player to watch indeed.

Favours stepping off the right.

Certainly plays more like a centre. Carries the ball in two hands, looks like he possesses a strong defensive game and hits the line hard. Add in the step and his apparent pace and he could be good 12/13 prospect with a bit of time to develop.

Was thinking the same thing, not tall for an 8. Could almost put him in the Wallabies 12 now based on that montage.
