But in a surprise move, the club’s banner-makers played this one with a pretty straight bat.
The flipside wasn’t anything special either, merely a message about their sponsor, Mission.
People watching, obviously in hope of another pearler from the Dogs, weren’t too impressed.
For a club which has endured such a long grand final drought (and an even longer premiership one), it’s perhaps understandable that the Dogs wanted to make their banner on this occasion a meaningful one rather than a funny one.
But still, it would have been nice to have one last laugh for the year courtesy of the Bulldogs’ banner-making team.

Thought the Bulldogs banners have been brilliant. Have a message. And I don't follow them.
