Western Sydney Rams vs NSW Country Eagles highlights: Eagles by 4

By Isaac Nowroozi / Roar Guru

The Western Sydney Rams will be looking to end their 2016 NRC season on a high, and with the Horan-Little Shield, when they meet the top-of-the-table New South Wales Country Eagles.

After an incredible 38-point win over Melbourne Rising in their last game, the Rams will be looking for another upset in the final week of the competition.

The Rams started off incredibly strong against Melbourne, and will need to do so again in order to take out an in-form Country Eagles side.

Western Sydney have opted to make just a single change, with David Minute returning to outside centre to replace Apolosi Latunipulu.

Coming off their first loss of the season, the Country Eagles will be eager to get a win and secure their place as minor premiers.

The Country Eagles’ loss was by far the upset of the season, with last-placed Queensland Country getting their first win of 2016 by a 2-point margin in a thrilling affair.

A win for the Country Eagles would not only guarantee top spot, but also the Horan-Little Shield, which the Rams took from the Rising last week.

Andrew Kellaway returns at fullback for the Country Eagles, which is the most significant of the nine changes made from last week.

Last time these two sides met was in round one of 2015, where the Country Eagles took the 1-point away from home.

Prediction
The Rams played incredible football last week, but they haven’t had a bad season overall. The Country Eagles are coming off their first loss, and will be eager to make sure it was their only loss.

Don't know what site you're referring to, mate, but it definitely was not showing on Fox Sports Now on my AppleTV. And all respect to Brett but why should I have to read his articles in The Roar to get directions to watch a game of footy? It's not Hillary Clinton's emails we're talking about, for God's sake. What about the Schools Test match? Advertised to be shown live on Fox Sports 5 - nothing.

Well, if you followed the directions in Brett's article you would have been able to find the stream no worries as you would every week. I had to go out during the game but I was on the site earlier and it was right there.

I think what they are referring to is that they now will hold onto it for the year.

Fox has really dropped the ball with its NRC live streaming efforts. No livestream of Eagles vs Rams today (at least none that I could find - it certainly wasn't streaming on Fox Sports Now on Apple TV), and apparently the Aussie Schools vs NZ Schools game was supposed to be broadcast live at 12.45pm on Fox Sports 5, but there was no sign of that, either. I mean, really...get your act together, Fox Sports. You're the only mob showing rugby in Australia; I would have thought you guys would be all over it, getting as much product out to the punters as possible. No wonder the code's in trouble. It's a fair dinkum disgrace...

The highlights have the Eagles 'holding on' to the Horan-Little Shield. Which is wrong. They won it off the Rams today.

Good match, I think the Eagles have come back into the pack a bit since the start of the rounds. Cleaned up some silverware here, but the Rays are the form team at the moment.
