The Lions have received pick 22 in this year’s draft, as well as a 2017 first-round pick, while the Power have nabbed picks 19 and 30 for this year.

Hanley has made 129 AFL appearances in nine seasons for the Lions, and has been a constant presence near the top of Brisbane’s best-and-fairest award counts for the past five years.

The Irishman has also represented his country in International Rules.

The 27-year-old midfielder has signed a three-year deal at the Gold Coast in a move which will bolster the Suns’ midfield stocks.

The young club has already missed out on snaring Hawks veteran Jordan Lewis, who has requested a trade to Melbourne, this trade period, and are expected to see young stars Dion Prestia and Jaeger O’Meara leave the club in the coming days.

In the wake of the trade, Port Adelaide holds six different picks (9, 19, 30, 49, 85 and 103) in this year’s draft, while the Lions have four (3, 16, 21 and 22).

So who do you think has got the best of the deal? Do the Suns take the plaudits for acquiring a damaging ball-user, or have one of the Lions or Power stolen the goods with their draft-heavy focus?
