In their domestic competitions, Celtic have won two in a row since their thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester City in Week 2.

Gladbach, on the other hand, are winless in their last two after a heavy 4-0 loss to Schalke and a 0-0 draw with Hamburg, even though they had an extra man for 65 minutes of the game.

The only match these teams have had against each other, came in a 2013 friendly at Celtic Park where Gladbach won 2-1. Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka scored the first goal of that game.

Moussa Dembele has eight goals in ten games for the Hoops this season and will want to add to his tally against an out of form German side. After not winning any of their four previous away games and with Celtic on a 21 game unbeaten run at home, all the stats point to the Celts picking up three points at home.

With all the evidence pointing towards Scottish side, Celtic will give Gladbach a tough game. Although on paper the Foals have the better side, At their fortress of Celtic Park the home side should get the edge over the German side in a close encounter.

Prediction: Celtic

Will Gladbach be able to get a win over Celtic despite their poor run of recent form?

Half time 0-0 at half time and Celtic will be the happier of the two teams going into the dressing rooms. Gladbach's dominance hasn't meant anything so far with no goal to stand for it.
