Match preview:

This early Saturday evening game sees New Zealand hosting Australia in the third Bledisloe Cup Test for 2016. Join The Roar from 5:35pm (AEDT) for all the live action from Eden Park in Auckland.

The All Blacks have already secured the Bledisloe Cup for another season having defeated the Wallabies in the previous two clashes this season, however interest certainly remains high for this encounter between the two trans-Tasman rivals.

Australia themselves have the opportunity to knock over the hoodoo after 30 years since their last victory at this famous Rugby ground, and become the first international team to win at Eden Park since 1994 while the All Blacks are on the verge of creating history, potentially becoming the first Tier 1 nation to record an 18-match unbeaten streak – so there is certainly plenty to play for this evening.

The All Blacks have made three changes to their 23 from the side which took the field in Durban a fortnight ago with Julian Savea replacing Waisake Naholo on the left wing for the run on side while Aaron Cruden and Malakai Fekitoa replace Lima Sopoaga and George Moala respectively on the reserve bench.

At the time of writing this preview, Wallaby Coach Michael Cheika had yet to release the Australian 23 for this encounter, citing decisions around his second row makeup a reason to leave the naming until the last possible minute. Speculation around certain positions swirl, such as Reece Hodge to second five and the starting first five, Bernard Foley or Quade Cooper? Fans of both sides will be eager to see the finalised line-up.

Such a delay is unlikely to phase the All Blacks who have been quoted on many occasions as worrying about their own performance and interest will certainly lie in what the Wallabies will bring to the encounter against a New Zealand team in terrific form so far in 2016.

What is clear is the Wallabies need to attack. Expecting your defence to win a match against this vintage of All Blacks is simply not viable so the Wallabies will need to tick the scoreboard over, preferably in lots of five and seven if they expect to rack up a famous victory.

Tip – All Blacks by 15. Based on form this season, there is little to suggest the Wallabies can produce an upset.

Join us here on The Roar as we cover all of the action live from Auckland and we look forward to your own views in the commentary below!

your absolutely right about this clown cheika having a total melt down, this is got to be the best professional performance on display by any coach, player or team, that I have witnessed, he was so articulate, so commanding, you would be mistaken, for not believing he was about to lead the ABs into a haka. He out performed the ABs & the WBs, why? because most of the post match attention, was all about this clown, Cheika is a total embarrassment, not only to WB rugby, players, fans, & opponents, but also to other coaches, professional or not. The ARU are paying this clown mega bucks, time to sack him, its becoming an absolute circus. Since we're on the subject about clowns, it was an Aussie journalist, Rob Emmerson, who put that article in the NZ herald, this was done as a kick back for putting a cartoon of Ritchie McGaw as a grub, just before the 2015 RWC, didn't hear or see Ritchie spew his guts, that the difference between been professional & been a baby doing a mans job

Garth, the man with the whistle is final arbiter of all decisions. Nigel ruined the contest at that point.

Last night was entertaining and dissappointing from an Australian perspective. The lack of skill, both individual and team, is not something that we should try to overcome with positional changes or wholesale swap outs. Australia and Super Rugby must change the selection structure. They need to have tough young eager blokes champing at the bit to be selected out of local rugby teams. The coaches should also be selected based on their training and experience and quality. We should have a seamless movement of players and coaches moving from younger age group rugby to the older more highly skilled levels. We should maintain local rivalry with selections being geographic based where possible. Skill set does not mean a single skill. ABs have it and we should learn from them.

gday Juzz. Who do you think should replace him? I fear the person who would do so, would be the Aussie version of Koochie Koo (Alistair Cooetze) In any case, his contract is locked til 2019.

Its not easy Aem. But it must be done, and has been done. WBs defeated ABs last year in last 20', scoring 17 points and conceding only 5 during that time. ABs were out of puff and WBs were surging due in part due to judicious replacements: - half-time ABs ahead by 3 - The 5/8 Foley was replaced at 50'. His replacement Toomua creates a try - Props and lock before the 60' - four replacements more within ten minutes. - WBs scored all the points after this

I think Checks biggest problem is his self control. He carry's on like a pork chop in the coaches booth during the game and after the game continues the rants to the media. He is suppose to set an example to members of his team, be humble and gracious in defeat. It's embarrassing. Based on his results this year and his awful temperament I can't see him coaching beyond 2016.

To me they are both as boring as each other, However, up until this year NRL ran fine and let the game go. Its a physical sport so it lets go a lot of insignificant off the ball stuff. Watching union though is sometimes watching 30 fairies trying hard not to tackle each other. Any kind of unnecessary behaviour and your off the field for 10 minutes. As I said in my previous post I am a Kiwi and I support the All Black's, but I am not caught up the obsession that it is in New Zealand. If there is any kind of negative comments about the All Blacks everyone takes it personally. Chill the hell out.

It's monstering when Aus hooker can't even get his leg up to hook the ball. That was embarrassing for Aus

The bench timing thing is hard - because the ABs hit every team around this time. It's not just a tiring thing I think, but also a depth thing - they lose nothing when reaching for replacements, while every other team loses at least a little. I can see why an opposition coach might want to keep what he has deemed to be his best 15 out there as long as possible.

Sio was taken out? A clash of legs doesn't constitute being taken out. Jesus... I agree that it wasn't a penalty try though - Foley didn't really pull at Coles or materially prevent him from getting the ball down. Would have been a pretty harsh call. The final no-try was a bit of a shocker... not because of the decision, but how they came to it. TMO advises ball was backwards out of the hands, ref ignores and justifies by saying it looked better that it was because the player passing the ball continued to run. This is despite the fact that forward passes are judged out of the hands (as the TMO judged - still probably wrongly in my opinion), rather than by judging the positioning of the players themselves (for reasons of physics). A laughable amount of stuff ups really, though I don't think anyone is claiming an effect on the result.

"DHP never changed his line" It would seem that you're about as good with the facts as the Australian commentators (ie. in complete denial). He did change his line. In doing so he deliberately prevented Savea having the opportunity to make a play - the arm out thing made it even stupider - he was just asking to get pinged for it at that point. That's obstruction... "is allowed to run anywhere he likes behind the play as it is a support running line" Nope. The rules are a handy thing to actually know in this situation. Not allowed to change his line to obstruct a defender who is maintaining his own line.

Actually it's always the ref's decision - the TMO makes a recommendation only... as we saw when the TMO recommended the final try be given as pass looked backwards out of the hands, but Owens ignored him and disallowed the try.

The TMO has turned out to be a disaster. They are obsessed with disallowing tries. It's their first instinct.

Ben Smith far and away the best player in the world. I reckon if he wasn't there the Wallabies would've won.
