What should be the Kangaroos line-up next week against the Kiwis in Coventry?

The team that took on Scotland was a very strong team, winning by 54-12 after bursting out of the blocks. Players like James Maloney and Matt Moylan – new to the Kangaroos set up – were impressive, but such is the strength of the World Champions that the two may not have another game this tournament.

My Kangaroos team for next week is a mix of some old, some new and plenty of quality.

1. Matt Moylan
2. Josh Mansour
3. Greg Inglis
4. Darius Boyd
5. Valentine Holmes
6. Johnathan Thurston
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Matt Scott
9. Cameron Smith (c)
10. Aaron Woods
11. Boyd Cordner
12. Matt Gillett
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Michael Morgan
15. Shannon Boyd
16. Tyson Frizell
17. Trent Merrin

You cant leave Moylan out of the team after his performance against Scotland. Darius Boyd is at centre because he has played there before and has shown that he has skills suitable to play anywhere in the backline.

There is no room for Dave Klemmer and Sam Thaiday, despite their good efforts previously for the Aussies. Maloney was outstanding on debut, however there is no room for him in this team.

If Australia win this match then for the England game I would rest Cooper Cronk, shift Maloney to five-eighth and Thurston to halfback.
