The 2016 AFL Draft will see the newest wave of young talent arrive in the AFL. If you’re looking to watch the draft via a live stream online or on TV, then you’re in the right place – here we have all the details on how to watch.
The draft will be broadcast via Foxtel on Fox Footy, with their coverage beginning at 6:30pm (AEDT) – though the first selection at the draft is not expected until roughly 7:10pm (AEDT).
In previous years Fox Footy has broadcast two different streams, one with every pick of the draft live, and one that switches largely to interviews and commentary after the first round, allowing viewers to choose between the two.
However this year there will only be one broadcast, and it will cover each individual pick live.
There are two different ways available to live stream the draft online.
One way is to use the Foxtel Play or Foxtel Go apps which allow users to stream Foxtel channels.
Foxtel Go is available for free if you already have an existing Foxtel service. Foxtel Play is better for those who are just looking to access live-streaming services rather than have a traditional installation.
Foxtel Play starts at a minimum of $25 per month, but is at least $50 per month if including the ‘Sports’ package. A two-week free trial is available for new customers.
These apps stream to a variety of devices including Android and iOS mobile devices, but it’s worth noting that the draft will be broadcast via the ‘Footy Play’ service, which cannot be streamed to PC or Mac computers.
The other option for streaming the draft is to use the AFL’s Live Pass service. This service allows you to stream via the AFL app on Android, iOS or Windows mobile devices.
An annual pass to use this service costs $89.99, alternatively, users can purchase a monthly pass at $14.99 per month, or a weekly pass at $4.99 per month. A two-week free trial is available for new customers.
These services are both restricted to Australian users only. International viewers should use the AFL Global Pass.

I don't think its fair that the draft can only be shown on Foxtel Fox Footy what if you're not able to get Foxtel you don't get to watch the draft at all,
