WATCH: Winx makes it 20 consecutive wins with George Main Stakes victory

By Roar TV / Roar Guru

Champion mare Winx has done it again, reaching an incredible 20 wins in a row with another victory at Royal Randwick in the George Main Stakes.

The six-year-old superstar was mid-pack for much of the race, before again putting on the afterburners in the final stretch to claim a famous win.

The win comes just hours after trainer Chris Waller announced there are plans for Winx to race in England next year.

Despite her stunning run of success, many British racing experts have remained skeptical about the champion’s ability.

“We probably owe it to the world to take her over there and have a shot in England,” Waller told 2GB radio.

Winx, early to mid-race, showed signs of floating along. Waller needs to keep her focused; just the one more run before the Cox is ideal. She has better horses to beat in her grand final than Happy Clapper.

It's a pity Winx has never been to Flemington. I'd like to see her in the Turnbull as a lead up to The Cox Plate or the Mackinnon a fortnight later or the Australian Cup as part of her next campaign.
