The 2017 AFL Grand Final will be played at the MCG on Saturday, September 30. There is plenty to look out for in the leadup to the biggest game of the season, and The Roar‘s full day schedule will ensure you don’t miss a thing.

The game is scheduled to begin at 2:30pm (AEST) and end at roughly 5:15pm, but the MCG gates will open well before that – at 8am for Melbourne Cricket Club members and at 9:30am for the general public.

Several traditional grand final events will take place before and during the game.

The NAB AFL All-Stars Under-18s game will begin at 10am, with a welcome to country, the retirees’ motorcade and a performance of Up There Cazaly all taking place before the bounce.

American band The Killers will take to the stage before the game and they’ll also be part of the Virgin Australia Premiership Party – a free concert on the ground after the game.

Half time will see the final of the traditional Gatorade Grand Final Sprint as well as a performance by Dami Im.
