WATCH: The controversial first try of the 2017 NRL Grand Final

An electrifying 75m run from Josh Addo-Carr was the first try of the 2017 NRL Grand Final, scored in the 20th minute.

The try will be remembered as a controversial one however, as the Cowboys called for it to be recalled as a scrum after two Storm players ran into the referee during the play.

The decision was sent up to the bunker where it was then ruled that it was a try, and the Melbourne Storm were awarded the first four points of the night.

A conversion from Cameron Smith put them up 6-0 in the 20th minute.

The Storm always going to smash the Cowboys, but this another case of the refs excessive influence on the game. Best thing about tonight is every Storm try just another nail in the nrl coffin.
