The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs play host to the high-flying Washington Redskins in the final game of Week 4. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match, starting 11:30am (AEDT).
Kansas City hold a massive 8-1 lead in all-time games played bewtween this pair, the Redskins failing to taste victory over the Chiefs since September 1983.
What’s more, the Chiefs are undefeated in 2017 and have taken care of some good opposition along the way.
Quarterback Alex Smith has been excellent, knowing he has rookie Patrick Mahomes breathing down his neck. Rookie running back Kareem Hunt has been the find of the season so far, with 401 yards and four touchdowns in three games, while wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce have also shown their quality.
However, the Redskins, led by Kirk Cousins’ 784 yards, are at a decent 2-1. Running back Chris Thompson has been a revelation, with 119 rushing yards and 231 receiving. Coupled with Rookie running back Samaje Perine and a solid defence, Washington will push for a playoff berth.
There is a good chance this will be the game of the week, as both teams are in solid form and love scoring points – this will be a battle of the offences.
Prediction
Chiefs to remain undefeated in a very close one. 38-35.

What a great finish to week four of the NFL. Credit to both teams. The Chiefs remain undefeated. Alex Smith with 27/37 for nearly 300 yards. Kareem Hunt with 27 carries for 101 yards, Travis Kelce with 7 receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown. They were too good tonight for a strong Redskins line-up. Kirk Cousins 14/24 for 220 yards and 38 rushing of his own. The Redskins lost five of their defensive line and will struggle in coming weeks without them. They came within 0:14 secs of taking this game into overtime. Big respect for the Redskins, if they can get players back injury free they can be a force in the NFC East. Congratulations to the Chiefs, they continue to impress in 2017. Great game all round.
