Australia are heavy favourites to end the Rugby League World Cup campaign of France when Week 2 gets underway in Canberra. This is The Roar‘s guide to streaming the match online and watching it on TV.

The match, set to be played at Canberra Stadium is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm (AEDT) on Friday, November 3.

The Kangaroos had a huge win in their opening week over England, all but assuring top spot in Group A.

With New Zealand the side likely to finish at the top of Group B, it means Australia should avoid a semi-final against their Trans-Tasman rivals.

The side with it all to play for in this match though is France. After an opening week loss to Lebanon, they will need to find a way to beat at least one of Australia or England to not finish last in Group A, missing out on the quarter-finals.

It’s not expected either France or Lebanon will beat the top two sides in Group A though, meaning last week’s game was an essential knockout.

How to watch the match on TV

While every match of the tournament is being broadcast by the seven network, it’s important to note that unlike most games, Australia’s games are being shown on the main channel in some areas of the country. Most of the tournament’s games are on 7Mate.

With the game kicking off at 8pm (AEDT), seven will show a 30-minute pre-game show in the build-up to kick-off, starting from 7:30pm (AEDT).

Your location will determine which channel you need to tune in to. For those in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, the match can be found on the main channel, which is located at 70 in high definition and channel 71 in standard definition.

If you are watching in South Australia or Western Australia, then the coverage will be on 7Mate (channel 73) in its entirety.

For those in Tasmania or the Northern Territory, the game will be broadcast on affiliate channel, Southern Cross TV.

As always, check your electronic programming guide closer to kick-off to confirm this information as channels and times may change in your local area.

How to live stream the match online

Because the match is being broadcast on the seven network, the only way to live stream the contest in Australia will be by using one of Channel seven’s services.

If you are looking to do so from a desktop or laptop, then the best way will be through the 7 live website, which allows you to stream the channels of seven live.

From a mobile or tablet device, the best way will be to download the 7Live application for free. You can also get access through the Plus7 application, which is normally used for catch-up TV, but still allows you to stream their channels.

The Roar will also be running a live blog and highlights of the match.
