Yet, steered by jockey 28-year-old jockey Tye Angland, Ace High was able to find his way into space and put on the afterburners late.
He finished just ahead of second-placed Sully and third-placed Astoria.
The win comes just a month after Ace High emerged victorious at the Spring Champion Stakes.
