The 2017 International Rules series gets underway in Adelaide as Australia and Ireland do battle for the Cormac McAnallen Cup. The match is scheduled to start at 4:10pm (AEDT) on Sunday, November 12

AFL International Rules live scores, blog

After a gallant loss in the one-off test in Dublin in 2015, Australia will be looking to claim their first win over the Irish since 2014 and first two-Test series win since 2010.

Since the resumption of regular international rules play in 2008, Ireland has definitely been the stronger of the two nations.

Ireland enjoyed a tight series win in Australia that year and, while Australia did win on foreign soil in 2010, the Irish made light work of the Aussies in 2011 before dispatching of the Indigenous All-Stars with little trouble in 2013.

TV

Free-to-air broadcaster Channel Seven is the exclusive Australian rights holder for the International Rules series.

Seven’s television coverage will begin at 3:30pm (AEDT) on Sunday, November 12, before the match itself begins at at 4:10pm.

The broadcast clashes with Seven’s coverage of the Rugby League World Cup, so check your local listings to see whether the match will be on Seven proper or 7mate.

If you’d prefer to stream the game, you can do so via the AFL Live Pass. This is a paid service, but offers a two-week free trial for new customers, and is free for Telstra customers.
