The Reds are a team on the rise, defeating the Jaguares in Buenos Aires to secure a third straight win for the first time in five years.

Queensland’s forwards were superb and managed to win the arm wrestle in the first half before standing firm defensively in the second as the Jaguares tried desperately to get back into the contest.

The Jaguares once again opened the scoring early on as Bautista Delguy scored the Jaguares’ first. It appeared that the Jaguares would once again kick on from last week’s effort against NSW.

Queensland however went on to dominate territory and possession in the first half and eventually cashed courtesy of Brandon Paenga-Amosa’s try.

Filipo Daugunu then scored a terrific try early in the second half that would prove decisive for the Reds.

The Jaguares have once again fallen back to old habits against teams that are willing to knuckle down and win the battle up front.

Too many errors from the hosts and that was a result of Queensland’s great commitment and pressure today. A great win for the Reds!
