There looks to be really good racing across Australia on Thursday as Easter approaches, with a solid card at Gosford and night racing at Pakenham the highlights.

Here are my five suggested plays across the meetings.

Bet One- Win- Gosford Race Five Number 9 Princess Mia:

Is a dual acceptor at the time of writing this but I think she can win here first up for the Waterhouse/Bott team. Ran some really good races during the Spring and looks to have come back really if the trials are any indication. Well found at $2.50 but I think Parr can send her to the front and get the job done.

Bet Two- Win- Gosford Race Seven Number 3 Resin:

Short but should be winning for mine.

Poor post-race recovery first up before going to Warwick Farm where she proved far too good for the well performed Dinnigan, who bolted up last week at metro level, so that reads well. $2.30 fine by me. Just has a tricky gate to overcome but I’ll leave that with in-form hoop Tim Clark.

Bet Three- Win- Warrnambool Race Six Number 2 Duecourse:

Not sure how they are offering black figures for this mare.

Thought she’d clearly be odds on. She hasn’t raced for nearly a couple of months since running a game second to the well-performed Bellaria at Sandown back in February. Resumes on her home track, regular rider back on. Keen to play.

Bet Four- Win- Pakenham Race Four Number 3 Ruby Sea:

Think she’s the best for the night at Pakenham.

Quality mare for Aaron Purcell who resumed under the lights at Cranbourne and worked home with real purpose from the back behind Invincible Rock after giving away a decent start. Won’t be far away from the gate, Lane on. I think she’ll take some beating.

Bet Five- Win- Townsville Race Six Number 3 Equistar:

Tough meeting up in North Queensland but I think this bloke can win.

Former Steve O’Dea galloper who had his first run for Georgie Bourke over 1400m at Townsville last time out where he was up near the speed and looked to travel well but just lacked the turn of foot at the business end when third to Cousin Muscles.

Up to the mile looks ideal and Nathan Day remains on.
