Australia looked a bit shabby if anything against Canada, eventually winning 1-0, but will look to put some goals on against Ghana who are ranked 30 in the world- 25 places behind the Hockeyroos.

Ghana have been thrashed in their first game; suggesting that they will struggle big time against Australia, with a 12-0 loss to New Zealand.

We’re unused to seeing the Africans play, having missed the 14-team cut for the Olympics, but they will have to lift their game from their last outing on Friday vs New Zealand.

The Olympics were cruel to the Australians, having being knocked out in the quarters- a displeasing result given they have made the top four of eight of the last 10 world cups, and have won three gold medals in the Olympics.

Commonwealth games form also tips the Hockeyroos, having won Gold at four of the five times it’s been included.

The teams are expected to be unchanged from their opening games of the tournament.

Australia were rescued many times throughout that first game via Lynch the goalkeeper, which was what kept them in the game following Jodie Kenny’s goal.

They now are in a strange position, where they will play a 9:30pm game three nights in a row, which may well take its toll towards the back end of these games.

Expect the Aussies to win, and win by at least four goals, with a strong defence as well.
