NRL team list Tuesday live blog: Round 7 – all 16 teams named

The first quarter of the 2018 season is done and dusted, and there will be plenty of changes across the NRL ahead of Round 7. Join The Roar for live coverage of team list Tuesday from 3:30pm (AEST).

The Cronulla Sharks appear to have been hardest hit last week, with forwards Andrew Fifita and Paul Gallen both succumbing to injuries.

While Fifita’s isn’t as bad as first thought, Gallen is likely to miss ten weeks or more, while Fifita may only be out for a month. Wade Graham also joins the duo on the sideline for a month, with the Sharks set for a major shake-up in the forwards, to go with obvious changes needed on their left edge after a 40-20 thumping at the hands of the Dragons, who remain injury-free.

The news Matt Gillett has been playing with a fractured neck came as a shock. He didn’t play last week after being excluded late in the piece, and in a big blow for the Broncos, the Queensland second rower is expected to miss eight to twelve weeks.

The Penrith Panthers are also going to struggle to replace a star, with Josh Mansour copping a fractured cheekbone.

It happened when Titans winger Anthony Don ran through to take a high ball, accidentally kneeing Mansour in the head. He is expected to miss six weeks.

Solomone Kata is also likely to miss some time for the Warriors after picking up a high ankle sprain.

Still on the Warriors, and Leivaha Pulu is likely to be out for an extended period with a similar injury, while all of Nathan Peats, Matthew Lodge, Jai Arrow, Luke Lewis and Sio Siua Taukeiaho are listed as possible players this week, the former four picking up minor niggling injuries last week and Taukeiaho being cleared of needing surgery to his knee.

The Panthers will be without the injured James Mansour. He is replaced by Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, who makes his return, while Corey Harawera-Naera and Isaah Yeo do a straight swap between centre and second row. Tom Eisenhuth joins the reserves list.

Not for the first time this season, there is a reshuffle on the Shire. Josh Dugan has been slated to play fullback, Jesse Ramien comes into the centres and Matt Moylan shifts to the halves with Trent Hodkinson dumped back to the reserves. Andrew Fifita has been named in a shock move, while Paul Gallen and Wade Graham are missing, with Kurt Capewell and Joseph Paulo their replacements. Scott Sorensen and James Segeyaro join the interchange bench.

Frank Winterstein finds himself back in the reserves this week for Manly, with Taniela Paseka on the bench

Frank and Lewis Brown were regulars last year but neither have much impact Paseka could be anything but it’s a pity Hastings isn’t on the bench as he was playing well and actually running the ball at times. This year is looking more like a year where players get experience for a future title challenge as a few things are going wobbly. I still believe we have a good roster but we need to get going soon.

Interesting here for the Eels. Jarryd Hayne is back to replace Bevan French, while Brad Takairangi takes the spot of Kirisome Auva’a. Cameron King is set to play hooker ahead of Kaysa Pritchard, while Kane Evans moves into the front row, Peni Terepo to lock and the combination of Will Smith and David Gower both appearing on the bench.
