The South Sydney Rabbitohs are looking to consolidate their top eight spot when they take on the Canberra Raiders at Central Coast Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match from 3pm (AEST).

The Rabbitohs have three wins and three losses so far this season and are currently sitting in seventh spot. They’re coming off the back of a good win over the Roosters last week.

They’ll be bolstered this week by the return of lock Sam Burgess from a two-week suspension. That pushes Jason Clark back to the bench.

After a slow start to the season where they dropped their first four games, the Raiders have won their past two matches against Canterbury and Parramatta. They’re currently in 11th spot, but just one win outside the top eight

Coach Ricky Stuart has named an unchanged Canberra line-up this week, with Aidan Sezer and Blake Austin once again the halves.

Souths start as favourites, but on paper, it’s a pretty even matchup. Both teams have strike power in the backs, but the Rabbitohs probably have the edge in the forwards. Rabbitohs fans will be hoping the Burgess brothers can lay the platform for livewire hooker Damien Cook to use his speed out of dummy half. He’s been in great form this season and is pushing for a State of Origin spot.

Prediction: Souths by 7.
