Former light-welterweight world champion Amir Khan has returned to the ring after a two-year inactive period to destroy his opponent, Canadian Phil Lo Greco, in 40 just seconds.

This result sends an epic message to the boxing world that Khan is well and truly back.

Khan – who has been in the ring with the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Zab Judah, Danny Garcia and Marco Antonio Barrera – is no stranger to big fights and wanted to make a statement with this one.

Lo Greco offered no resistance to Khan’s fierce punches, failing to land a single strike. One knockdown and 40 seconds is all it took for the official to stop the fight.

Khan was recently was in the British version of ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here!’ that was filmed in the Gold Coast hinterland last year and was a crowd member of Jeff Horn vs Gary Corcoran in Brisbane. He said he wanted to watch the fight to support his fellow Brit, Corcoran, and to size up Horn as another potential contender for the WBO welterweight title.

With this win, and the boxing world wide open at the moment – with fights being cancelled and changed at a monthly rate – Khan may find himself again fighting for a world title in the not too distant future.
