Two of England’s most successful football clubs – Manchester United and Chelsea will square off on Sunday, May 20 at 2:15am (AEST) with the prize of being called FA Cup champions on the line.

When it comes to domestic football knockout tournaments, there is none bigger than the FA Cup. After a lengthy process eliminating hundreds of teams through the lower division, Chelsea and Manchester United find themselves as the last two remaining.

It’s a familiar scene for Antonio Conte’s men, who were here last year, but fell at the final hurdle against Arsenal, going down 2-1 in front of a packed out crowd at Wembley in the 2017 final. The 2016 final saw the Red Devils get the better of Crystal Palace by the same scoreline.

Manchester United are going for a 13th FA Cup, while Chelsea are going for their eighth, having last won in 2012 when they beat Liverpool.

This will be the third FA Cup final between the clubs. Chelsea, managed by current Manchester manager Jose Mourinho took out an extra time 1-0 victory in 2007, while United smacked the men in blue 4-0 back in 1994.
