Match preview:

The Geelong Cats host the Carlton Blues at GMHBA Stadium for the first time in 20 years. Join The Roar for lives scores and commentary of the match from 7:25pm (AEST).

Carlton travel down the highway to the Cattery for the first time since 1997 and are up against a rebounding Geelong outfit who will be firing for Gary Ablett’s first game back at the venue since his return from the Gold Coast.

Keep an eye on Tom Hawkins, who will be looking to replicate his brilliance when the two sides met last year, booting six goals from 12 marks and 27 disposals in the 65-point win. Also keep an eye on return of Marc Murphy; surely he’ll bring order back to the Blues’ dismal midfield.

Carlton has only scored 100 points twice in the last three season – one of those being Round 10, 2016 against Geelong, in what was their only win in the past nine games against the Cats.

And, as we saw last week, Geelong have problems of their own to deal with.

Prediction
While Geelong have made the Cattery a fortress, there’s a chance Carlton can turn the tables.

Carlton by seven points.
