NSW racing will focus on Grafton today, with Steve O’Dea and Matty Dunn looking prominent to dominate the afternoon. Here are my five plays for the meeting.

Bet One: Win, Race One, Number 1 Art Attack
Gee Art Attack’s going well at the moment for the Jenny Graham team and I think he’s definitely the one to beat here. Been over the staying trips here at his past couple and has been excellent each time he has stepped out. Depth not as strong here and I think he’s the one.

Bet Two: Win, Race Two, Number 3 I Am Impinge
It’s D-Day for I Am Impinge but if he brings his best, he’ll be too good. Resumed in what looked a strong race at the Sunny Coast and was far from disgraced behind Constant Flight. An easier race here and $2.20 at the moment is acceptable for an odds-on pop.

Bet Three: Win, Race Four, Number 2 Navy
Nice type on debut for the O’Dea camp. Navy has had a really good grounding for his first start, with two trial wins and a spell in between. I’m surprised with the $4.20 on offer because I think he will start shorter given the stable/jock combo at Grafton is lethal.

Bet Four: Each Way, Race Five, Number 14 Onslow
The best roughie on the program. Ran over 1400m at Coffs Harbour last time out where he got a mile back off them in the run but I liked the way he closed his race off late in the piece behind Star Fest. Good record at Grafton and he will be strong late.

Bet Five: Each Way, Race Six, Number 5 Yeppoon
Yeppoon gets one last chance for me. I thought he had his chance two back here at Grafton before going to Ipswich where he was dreadful after missing the kick. If he brought his best, he’d just about win. Just depends which version will turn up.
