The Socceroos will begin their final preparations for the FIFA World Cup with a pair of friendlies, the first of which will be played at the NV Arena in Austria against the Czech Republic. Kick-off is scheduled for 9pm (AEST) on Friday, June 1.
Australia will aim to use this match against the 45th ranked nation in the world as a tune-up for the World Cup.
They are still carrying a squad of 26 and between this match and another against Hungary next Sunday, they will need to cut three more players from the list ahead of football’s showpiece event.
The Czechs sensationally failed to qualify for the World Cup.
