In the 43rd minute Gagai ran over for Queensland’s second try of the night, adding to that scored by Valentine Holmes in the first half.

Holmes duly converted Gagai’s try to put the scoreline out to 12-8 (having also converted his own try in the first half).

NSW put on the first eight points of the game through first a penalty goal to James Maloney, and then a converted try scored by James Tedesco.
