The Rabbitohs head north to tackle the Titans as they search for a sixth straight win at CBUS Super Stadium on Friday night.

The Titans are fresh off a bye, however are struggling in 2018 with just four wins from 12 starts, after a last start 34-14 loss to the Roosters on the Central Coast.

The Rabbitohs could hardly have been more impressive in their 22-14 victory over the Sharks. Despite missing four Origin players, Souths played with power and enterprise as they continued their amazing resurgence under first year Coach Anthony Siebold.

Gold Coast Titans scouting report
The Titans will be desperate for their two Origin forwards, Jarrod Wallace and Jai Arrow, to back up from Origin I, having been named to take on a strong Souths side.

From their Round 12 loss to the Roosters, Phillip Sami comes in for Konrad Hurrell on the wing, while Will Matthews returns in the second row with Keegan Hipgrave to the bench and Bryce Cartwright dropped completely.

South Sydney Rabbitohs scouting report
The Rabbitohs have named all four Origin reps, however centre Dane Gagai is in major doubt after injuring himself at Maroons’ training.

Greg Inglis, Damien Cook and Angus Crichton would each need to pull up well to make the trek from Melbourne to the Gold Coast.

Alex Johnston returns at fullback, with Adam Doueihi and Cam Murray dropping to the bench and Hymel Hunt, Robbie Farah, Mark Nicholls and Tyrell Fuimaono moving to the reserves, despite impressing against the Sharks last week.

Verdict
Souths could be a little vulnerable with four Origin players looking to back up but, put simply, they are a far better footy side than the Titans and should win comfortably.

Even if none of their Origin players backed up, I would still back Souths based on what they produced last week.

The Titans’ defence has been far too flimsy this year and, against a side that move the ball like Souths, I can see them coughing up another 30+ points here.
