The Sharks and Broncos clash in the battle oft sides inside the Top eight at Shark Park on Saturday night.

The Sharks will be gunning for an eighth win from their last nine starts when they tackle the eighth-placed Broncos at Shark Park on Saturday night. The Sharks came from eight points down at halftime to beat the Tigers 24-16 last week, with Paul Gallen putting in a sterling performance, as the Sharks scored three tries in ten minutes early in the second half.

The Broncos lost to their arch nemesis once again, as the Storm destroyed them in the second half 32-16 to win their 12th from their last 13 starts against the Broncos.

Cronulla Sharks scouting report
Shane Flanagan has named an unchanged side from the one that came from behind to beat the Tigers. Valentine Holmes has been in blistering form of late, scoring another 90-metre try against the Tigers last week as he continues his recent try-scoring exploits.

Brisbane Broncos scouting report
The Broncos get back one of their strike players, with James Roberts returning after missing the Storm game. Tom Opacic is replaced by Roberts, with the rest of the Broncos 17 unchanged from the Melbourne loss.

Verdict
I don’t really know what to make of the Broncos this season. Most of their victories have been by narrow margins, and they have struggled on the road.

The Sharks haven’t exactly been convincing either; however, in the Shire on a Saturday night they will be hard to beat. I expect this game to be typically low scoring and decided in the final ten minutes, but I’ll go for the home side, who are in a better vein of form.
