Michael Morgan is expected to miss the rest of the State of Origin series after scans confirmed the playmaker had suffered a torn biceps injury.

Morgan has been booked for surgery in the coming days, all but ruling him out of the final two games Queensland must win to maintain their stunning run of series wins, having secured 11 of the past 12.

There was some relief for the Maroons though before they on Monday announce their squad for June 24’s game two in Sydney, with Queensland prop and Sydney Roosters enforcer Dylan Napa cleared of a serious ankle injury.

More to come.
