Brazil have failed to win their opening World Cup game for the first time in 40 years thanks to a 1-1 draw with Switzerland.
It was a good start to the game by Switzerland, who did well to create space early and had the first chance of their game.

However their dominance was short lived, as Brazil very quickly got into the game and showed their class.
They did well to create space down the wings and get the ball into the box, but Switzerland defended well in their own area.
So Coutinho found space to shoot outside the box and curled one past the keeper off the inside of the post and into the net to give Brazil the lead after 20 minutes.
Switzerland had some shaky moments but tried to claw their way back into the game, with only their final balls really letting them down.
They did defend well however and at the break it was just a wonder-strike that separated the two sides.
It was a very different story in the second half, as Switzerland came out looking much more comfortable on the ball.
They remained patient and in the end they were rewarded as Zuber was unmarked in the middle of the box for a corner and headed the ball past the keeper into the back of the net.
Brazil were visibly shaken and it took them a little while to find their feet.
When they eventually did they ran at Switzerland with wave after wave of attack.
The Swiss remained calm however and had an answer to all of their questions – and then some.
Whenever they were on the ball they controlled it well, got into some good areas and created chances of their own.
However when it came to the last five minutes of injury time, the defending became frantic and desperate as Brazil keep piling on the pressure.
Sommer made an incredible save late on to keep his side in it and after a solid defensive showing the Swiss came away with very valuable point.

Brazil suffered a scare before the World Cup when Neymar got injured while at Paris Saint-Germain.
However their star man is back and firing and the rest of the squad is on form as well.
Last World Cup Brazil suffered their greatest humiliation – a 7-1 Semi-Final loss to eventual champions Germany in front of their home crowd.
However this time around they have more than just a reliance on Neymar, with the likes of Willian and Gabriel Jesus joining him.
Their defence has also strengthened exponentially, with Miranda, Silva and Danilo joining Marcelo in the back.
Switzerland have a solid, formidable squad but lack any true ‘World Class’ talent.
Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka will be looking to protect his defence and link up any counter-attacks, while Xherdan Shaqiri will be Brazil’s greatest threat.
However Shaqiri hasn’t had the greatest form, despite being one of two standout players in a Stoke City side that was relegated from the Premier League this last season.
Prediction
Brazil are in the rare position of having individual talent all over the pitch with the ability to play as a team. They should be too much for the Swiss.
Brazil by three.
