After being denied inside the opening 10 minutes thanks to a new Bunker controversy on the right wing, Queensland wasted little time making amends on the opposite wing as Valentine Holmes continues his incredible scoring streak at State of Origin level.

Holmes has now scored six tries in just his fourth game of Origin, linking up with the returning Billy Slater who has made an immediate impact on return from injury.

It was a simple case of quick hands out to the right edge on the overlap after sustained pressure back up the middle of the park.

Cameron Munster took on the line out of five-eighth, passing out the back to Slater who drew in two on the left edge before giving it out to Greg Inglis who had Holmes alone on his outside.

It was a simple case of draw and pass and it was nothing but fresh air and an open tryline in front of the prolific try-scorer, giving Queensland the early lead as they look to keep the series alive.
