Sydney racing this Wednesday heads to Canterbury while midweek metro racing in Melbourne makes a rare trip to Moonee Valley.

Here are my suggested bets across the two meetings.

Bet One- Each Way- Canterbury Race Two Number 9 On The White Turf
Looks a nothing race, but I think this girl represents value. She was wide throughout last time at Warwick Farm on the bog but looked to travel well throughout and stuck to the task pretty well behind an impressive winner. 1550m suits ideally, just needs cover from a tricky draw to be a threat for mine.

Suggested Bet: $25 E/W at $8.5/$2.6

Bet Two- Win- Canterbury Race Six Number 8 Nahuel
Outside this horse and Reneged, you could easily be mistaken for thinking this race was at Bathurst. No depth/quality at all, and this bloke doesn’t have to improve much off the last start maiden romp at Newcastle to win.

He beat nothing, but won with absolute ease, and was only second up there. He has upside and 1900m no issue. Keep in mind Reneged is nominated for the Sunny Coast on Saturday.

Suggested Bet: $25 Win at $5.5 (Crownbet)

Bet Three- Win- Canterbury Race Seven Number 15 Mad Fox
This race will tell us if he’s a contender or pretender. I’m hoping it’s the former. Cost himself the win first up at Kembla after a poor beginning before going to Warwick Farm where he was again tardy away and gave away too much start, plus wasn’t entirely happy on the surface.

Firmer footing here, and if he can jump and take advantage of the gate, he’s clearly the horse to beat.

Suggested Bet: $25 Win at $4.6 (Crownbet)

Bet Four- Each Way- Moonee Valley Race Two Number 13 The Launcher
Double figures was offered early for this bloke and I’m pleased there is early support. Nice looking colt who resumes for Darren Weir.

Won impressively on debut at Moe before bumping into Bel Sonic on Pakenham Cup Day in what has turned out to one of the best form races this season with six individual winners to come out of it. Recent trial was more than encouraging and he should get a sweet run from the gate.

Suggested Bet: $25 E/W at $8/$2.7 (Crownbet)

Bet Five- Win- Moonee Valley Race Five Number 3 Mintha
No prizes for finding her but I reckon you’ll get better than $1.90 come race time because that does seem a touch short at the moment.

Tempo beat her last time out at Flemington when charging home to run third to Remember Thy Name, who franked the form last Saturday. Thin race, should win…I’ll take the tote and hopefully we can get black figures.
