Looks a pretty solid afternoon of racing right across Australia this Thursday, with the focus being at Kembla. Here are my suggested bets for the afternoon.

Bet One – Win – Kembla Race Two Number 6 Zoom Zoom
This should bolt in if she turns up fit and healthy. Easy to get carried away with trials, but this Les Bridge trained filly has looked very good, especially her latest trial when winning under a hold. I think only bad luck beats her and I can definitely take $1.90 for a horse who should be around $1.30-$1.40.

Suggested Bet: $60 Win at $1.90 (Crownbet)

Bet Two – Win – Kembla Race Five Number 2 Canyonero
Contender or pretender? We will get a good guide here because this race doesn’t look to have great depth. Good run last time out at Kensington when a close up second to King’s Trust.

Form out of that looks very suspect, but his previous form just reads far superior to anything else engaged here. The one to beat.

Suggested Bet: $40 Win at $2.7 (Crownbet)

Bet Three – Win – Pakenham Race Two Number 1 Kothu Rotti
This will turn into a real staying contest I think and this bloke is the best stayer by a mile. Great win over the jumps at the Bool before turning back to the flat at Geelong last week and he bolted in. Returning to the jumps full of confidence, I’m confident he can get the job done and for mine should be odds on.

Suggested Bet: $45 Win at $2.25 (Crownbet)

Bet Four – Win – Pakenham Race Nine Number 4 Nistaan
Fitness levels are the only things that should be beating this bloke, who resumes as a gelding. Showed really good promise when last in work, bolting up here before an okay run at Caulfield behind Cliff’s Edge. Recent Tatura trial looked good to the eye and he is proven at this track and the surface, so he’ll do me.

Suggested Bet: $35 Win at $3 (Crownbet)

Bet Five – Win – Townsville Race One Number 1 Lonesome Blues
Tricky meeting up north, but this bloke should be winning the opener. Placed five of six, so is knocking on the door to greet the judge and I think he gets his chance here. Ran over 1300m at this track last time out where he got back before peeling wide on the turn and letting down hard but couldn’t quite get there. Back to 1200m, back in depth, keen.

Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.35 (Crownbet)

Total Spend= $230
