The Broncos will be gunning for three straight victories as they host a resurgent Raiders team at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The Broncos managed to secure a quality 22-16 victory over the Sharks, continuing their dominance over the Shire Club, with a 22-16 victory, to keep them in eighth spot, two games clear of the ninth-placed Tigers with ten rounds to go.

The Raiders breathed some life into their stuttering season with a brilliant 48-12 victory against the Tigers, as they came from two points down at half time, to score 38 unanswered points in a rampaging second half.

Brisbane Broncos scouting report
Wayne Bennett has named all the Broncos’ Origin and Test players to back up. They have made just one change from their last start win over the Sharks, with Tom Opacic replacing Sam Tagataese on the bench.

Canberra Raiders scouting report
Josh Hodgson starts at hooker after his brilliant comeback from injury against the Tigers, pushing Siliva Havili to the bench.

Sia Soliola starts at prop with Dunamis Lui moving back to the bench. Junior Paulo (foot) has been named to return on the bench for Luke Bateman who is out injured.

Verdict
I’m going for an upset here, and the Raiders to get a victory in a high scoring and entertaining affair.

The Raiders looked a totally different side last week with Josh Hodgson in the lineup, and they are capable of really causing problems for any side with ore direction to go with their speed and power.

The Broncos are never easy to beat, but have won plenty of close games this season, and are not the dominant side at home they been in the past.
