In a match with plenty of fringe NRL talent running around, the Queensland Maroons and New South Wales Blues will battle it out to be crowned under 20s State of Origin champion at Suncorp Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 5:15pm (AEST).

The Blues have already taken out the under 18s State of Origin title, as well as both the residents game and wheelchair match. Somewhere in between, New South Wales also won Women’s Origin and with a game to play, Brad Fittler’s men have already wrapped up the senior series.
This would just about complete the sweep for the southern state, with only the under 16s Origin to come on Sunday.

Queensland come into this game as favourites though. Their key man is AJ Brimson, who has been in great form for the Titans at NRL level. He will be joined int he halves by Jake Clifford, who, given the Cowboys’ struggles, should be getting more gametime up north.
Corry Allan and the talented Harry Grant round out the spine, with the later likely to need to leave the Storm for more NRL minutes, stuck behind New Zealander Brendon Smith and, of course, Cameron Smith for the time being.
Patrick Carrigan, Gehamat Shibasaki and Clifford were all involved in the residents squad. Storm forward Timo Fa’asuamaleaui also gets his second crack in Maroon after playing for the under 18s before Game 1.
The Blues will be directed by Kyle Flanagan, who played in and was instrumental in the residents’ victory before Game 2.
Flanagan will need to have a huge game though. Reece Robson is another who must standout for the Blues, with the hooker making his debut for the Dragons in the NRL a handful of weeks ago.
Young Melbourne fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen gets a run after displaying fantastic form for the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Queensland Cup while Jai Whitbread is on the cusp of first grade along with a number of others Blues forwards.
Prediction
Kyle Flanagan will need a huge performance if the Blues are to win. But with the match in Brisbane and Brimson showing good form, the Maroons should get the job done.
