This team consists of players that I predict to be the best performers in the upcoming round.

B: Nathan Wilson (Dockers), Joel Hamling (Dockers), Jarryn Geary (Saints)
HB: Rory Laird (Crows), Michael Hurley (Bombers), Jake Lloyd (Swans)
C: Lachie Whitfield (Giants), Zach Merrett (Bombers), Dyson Heppell (Bombers)
HF: Devon Smith (Bombers), Lance Franklin (Swans), Angus Brayshaw (Demons)
FF: Ben Ronke (Swans), Tom Hawkins (Cats), Jaeger O’Meara (Hawks)
Foll: Todd Goldstein (Kangaroos), Luke Parker (Swans), Andrew Gaff (Eagles)
Int: Jack Ziebell (Kangaroos), Sam Menegola (Cats), Rory Sloane (Crows), Jack Macrae (Bulldogs)

Backs
Nathan Wilson had a quality game against the Power and will be looking to repeat the performance against the Bombers.

Joel Hamling didn’t get much of in Round 17, but was probably the most influential Docker on the field and could show why he is such a quality defender by replicating his performance against the Bombers.

Jarryn Geary has been resilient and has shown why he is such a good leader for the Saints, especially last week and is bound to be a key factor in the game against the Tigers on Friday night.

Rory Laird can be prolific for the Crows. Michael Hurley is one of the best tall defenders in the competition and he needs to substantiate this if the Bombers are to beat the Dockers.

Jake Lloyd is one of the most underrated defenders in the competition and should back this up against the Suns this weekend.

Midfielders
Lachie Whitfield is a quality player and if he proves this against the Power, then he is destined to be in the team of the week in Round 18.

Zach Merrett could play a key role if the Bombers are to beat the Dockers this weekend.

Dyson Heppell is a top-class captain and could get in the team of the week in Round 18 if he can replate his performance from Round 17.

Forwards
The Dockers are going to find it tough to find a matchup for Devon Smith as he is an exceptional talent.

Lance Franklin kicked his nine-hundredth goal last week and it is going be tough for the Suns to negate him.

Angus Brayshaw has been a revelation since fighting his way into the Demons team and will validate this in Round 18.

Ben Ronke played an amazing game in Round 17 kicking five goals and could follow it up by hitting the scoreboard on multiple occasions in Round 18.

The Demons are going to have a tough time to find a matchup for Tom Hawkins following his four-goal haul in Round 17.

Jaeger O’Meara managed to hit the scoreboard on four occasions last week and could kick a few goals again against a hapless Blues outfit.

Followers
The contest between Todd Goldstein and Brodie Grundy will make an interesting spectacle.

Luke Parker has already proven that he is one of the best midfielders in the competition, he will probably demonstrate this once more this weekend when the Hawks play the Suns.

Andrew Gaff will do what Andrew Gaff does week in week out: show why he is one of the Brownlow favourites.

Interchange
Jack Ziebell managed to kick an impressive five goals and can verify why he is such a valuable player due to the fact that he can go forward and impact the scoreboard.

Sam Menegola, Rory Sloane and Jack Macrae can illustrate why they are such important players to their respective teams.
