This team consists of players that I predict to be the best performers in the upcoming round.

B: Brad Sheppard (Eagles), David Astbury (Tigers), Heath Shaw (Giants)
HB: Lachie Whitfield (Giants), Steven May (Suns), Alex Witherden (Lions)
C: Andrew Gaff (Eagles), Patrick Cripps (Blues), Ricky Henderson (Hawks)
HF: Kane Lambert (Tigers), Tom Lynch (Crows), Josh Dunkley (Bulldogs)
FF: Aaron Young (Suns), Jack Riewoldt (Tigers), Josh Caddy (Tigers)
Foll: Toby Nankervis (Tigers), Lachie Neale (Dockers), Jack Steven (Saints)
Int: Josh Kelly (Giants), Tom Mitchell (Hawks), Sam Menegola (Cats), Jayden Short (Tigers)

Backs
Brad Sheppard is a key element of the Eagles backline and could substantiate this if he plays like he did in Round 18. One of the most underrated tall defenders in the competition may well be David Astbury, and he could prove this against the Magpies.

If Heath Shaw can replicate the form that he displayed in Round 18 this Saturday, he is certain to be in many people’s team of the week in Round 19. Possibly the best player for the Giants this season has to be Lachie Whitfield, and he could substantiate that this weekend.

Steven May helped the Suns get an unlikely victory over the Swans and will need to follow that up with a good performance against the Blues in Round 19 in his prospective duel with Charlie Curnow if May’s team is to win the game. Alex Witherden has been prolific in the past three weeks and should follow that up against the Cats.

Midfielders
Andrew Gaff and Patrick Cripps are quality players and they have the capability to be prolific for their respective teams in Round 19. A player who often goes under the radar for the Hawks is Ricky Henderson, and the game this Sunday will be a perfect opportunity for him to prove that.

Forwards
Kane Lambert is an important part of the Tigers team, which he should demonstrate this Saturday. A pivotal player for the Crows has to be Tom Lynch, and will be an important part of the Crows structure this weekend.

Josh Dunkley played a decent game in Round 18 and could help the Bulldogs surprise an inconsistent Power outfit. Part of the reason why the Suns managed to upset the Swans was Aaron Young, who kicked four goals and is a chance to have a similar influence on the game in Round 19.

Jack Riewoldt and Josh Caddy have the ability to be a dangerous combination in the Tigers forward line this Saturday.

Followers
An integral aspect of the Tigers structure is Toby Nankervis, and he should demonstrate why against the Magpies. Lachie Neale and Jack Steven have the ingredients to be key players for their respective teams in Round 19.

Interchange
The Giants’ chances of winning against the Saints could be determined by the level to which Josh Kelly performs, as the Giants spike in form has correlated with the return of Kelly from injury to the Giants line up.

Tom Mitchell is statistically the best player in the competition from a disposal perspective, but there is more to Mitchell than stats, the Hawks rely on him and will need him to perform to his optimum if they are to beat the Dockers.

Sam Menegola influenced the game a lot last weekend for the Cats against the Demons and it’s a possibility that Menegola could replicate that display this Saturday.

A key player that provides run out of defence for the Tigers is Jayden Short and that could well be one of the reasons why the Tigers could beat the Magpies this weekend.
