Five out of the nine games in the AFL in Round 20 had a margin of under a goal. That shows that nothing is wrong with our game!

The main story is the probable suspension and therefore ineligibility from the Brownlow Medal for Andrew Gaff. On a bright note the magic moment for the round was when Tom McCartin kicked the winning goal for the Swans when he was on his back.

Top five coaches of Round 20
1- Leon Cameron (Giants)
2- Simon Goodwin (Demons)
3- Alastair Clarkson (Hawks)
4- Damien Hardwick (Tigers)
5- Don Pyke (Crows)

What were the key points to come out of Round 20?

Tigers vs Cats: What a game of footy
Both teams had a lot to take out of this game. It was a quality, high intensity contest. The Tigers controlled a lot of the game, but the Cats clawed their way back.

Crows vs Power: Footy is a game of inches
In spite of the score review ruling that Josh Jenkins kicked the winning goal, he was honest enough to admit that the ball hit the post! Even the Crows performed better than the Power the Crows were lucky to walk away with the victory.

Swans vs Magpies: Swans win while not at their best
Incredibly, this game was the fifth out of the first six of the round with a margin of under a goal!

Lance Franklin was back in form with six goals and incredibly it could have been more, if not for hitting the post on three occasions. Tom McCartin created a magic moment late on with a freakish goal; he was lying on the ground and kicked the ball on the ground.

Blues vs Giants: Giants contenders, Blues pretenders
