Round 21 was an entertaining round of football.

There were plenty of close games with the majority of them played at a high intensity with most having reasonably close margins.

Five of nine games had a margin of under three goals. The Kangaroos and Cats could now miss the finals. Who would of thought that would be the case earlier in the season?

Giants vs Crows
The Giants played well to substantiate why they have become one of the Premiership contenders, while the Crows finals hopes are gone.

Thankfully for the Giants they managed to overcome their lengthy injury list and it was fortuitous for them that they didn’t hamper the performance of the team that they put out to play.
Giants team lifter: Lachie Whitfield
Crows team lifter: Brodie Smith

Kangaroos vs Bulldogs
The Bulldogs had a morale boosting victory over a Kangaroos side that needed to win to play finals.

One has to congratulate the coach when their side managed to have won the match in the manner that they Bulldogs did with so many players unavailable through injury.
