Having been kept to a scoreless draw by an impenetrable Joe Hart, Southampton are looking for their first win of the season against Everton. Join The Roar for live scores of the match, starting from 12 midnight (AEST).

Similar to the Saints, Everton were forced to split the points with the Wolves, despite a brilliant two-goal performance from new recruit Richarlison. Although the Brazilian came out of the game with a sore calf, he is expected to be good to go for this match.

The Blues were scrappy in patches last weekend, which cost them the three points. Jordan Pickford looked more vulnerable than usual against the Wolves, and he will need to get back on track if the Toffees are to win here.

The Saints had ample opportunity to hit the front against Burnley, getting into scoring positions, but were unable to capitalise.

Overall, Everton’s backline is a bit of a worry, but with Richarlison leading the way up forward, they have the ability to penetrate a good defence. Conversely, Southampton defend well, but need to make more of their chances.

Prediction
Everton are good enough to get a result, but if Southampton can continue their attacking pressure, goals will start to come. Teams to split the points.
