After a dismal performance last week, West Ham United will want to bounce back against AFC Bournemouth. Join The Roar for live scores of the match from 12 midnight (AEST).

Former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini made the move to West Ham earlier in the year, in a bid to take the team to newer heights. However, their loss to Liverpool last week was hardly flattering, as the Hammers went down 4-0. Although it is still early days for West Ham, it is not a promising start.

Tonight is a slightly easier task, at home against Bournemouth, however Eddie Howe’s men are coming off a resounding 2-0 win against Cardiff City. They certainly looked the better team in that game, and did not deserve anything less.

In the past two seasons, these two teams have stayed within two positions on the table of each other. The last six times they have faced off in the Premier League, each side has taken the three points twice, and shared the honours twice.

This year, however, West Ham look the better team on paper. In the transfer period, they received Carlos Sanchez, Alex Wilshere and Ryan Fredericks, to name a few. The quality they have brought in should allow them to match up well against the Cherries.

Prediction
West Ham to take the points.
