Manchester City’s season has got off to a flying start.
After dominating Chelsea to win the Community Shield, the Citizens travelled to North London to take on a revamped Arsenal side in the opening week.
Goals from Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva ensured City ensured City all three points in a game where they looked comfortable the entire time.
Last season Pep Guardiola’s men won the league by a staggering 19 points, reaching 100 points in the process.
However, they struggled against Huddersfield Town both times, narrowly defeating them 2-1 in one game, and being held to a nil-all draw in the other.
They will also be without key playmaker Kevin De Bruyne for three months after the Belgian suffered a knee injury in training this week.
Although they lost De Bruyne for some time last season, and it didn’t seem to slow City down one bit.
The recent addition of Riyad Mahrez, who started and impressed against the Gunners, only increased their squad depth.
Huddersfield surprised experts when they avoided relegation last season and a lot of their success came down to a strong start to the season.
That’s not been replicated, as they were dismantled by Chelsea at home in their opening game – losing 3-nil.
Prediction
Huddersfield have been known to frustrate the bigger teams with solid defensive performances. However, Chelsea managed to break them down time and time again, and if City are on their game they will do the same.
Manchester City 3 – 0 Huddersfield Town
