The final tennis grand slam of the year is upon us, with the best players in the world set to descend on Flushing Meadows in New York for the US Open. This is The Roar‘s guide to streaming the tournament online and watching it on TV.

How to watch the US Open on TV

In a new TV deal which started last year, coverage of the US Open in Australia is provided by ESPN, who took over from Fox Sports.

The deal sees them broadcast every day of the tournament, using one or in some cases both of their channels to bring plenty of matches to the screen.

To watch ESPN, you will need to have a valid Foxtel TV subscription complete with the sports package.

ESPN can be found on Channel 508, while matches broadcast on ESPN2 are available on Channel 509.

How to live stream the US Open online

There are a couple of ways to stream the US Open online.

The first of those is by using one of Foxtel’s dedicated streaming applications. Both Foxtel Now and the Foxtel App allow users to stream the channels of Foxtel.

If you already have a TV subscription, you should use the app as it’ll be free to download. Foxtel Now packages including sport start from $39 per month.

The other alternative is to you the WatchESPN application, which will give you extra courts than what will be shown on TV.

The application can be downloaded from either the App or Google Play store. From there, you will need to sign in with your Foxtel TV details (note, Foxtel now only details won’t work). Some other providers will also have access to WatchESPN, however, you should check circumstances individually.
