There is some decent racing across the board this Wednesday, with my attention looking at potential value via a couple of quaddies. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.

Bet One – Quaddie – Canterbury Quaddie
I’m keen on one in race six. The first leg I like Scratches off the back of a dominant win at Newcastle. Race five looks like a lottery so I’ll be including five runners.

In race six I’m all over Esperance off an excellent resumption and if the track is playing fair, he’s the one to beat. In the last leg I’ve narrowed it down to four chances.

Bet: $50 1-2-5-7/2-4-5-6-7/3/1-2-3-11= 62.5%

Bet Two – Quaddie – Sandown Quaddie
I’m keen to have a crack at this because I think there is value to be found in the later legs. The first leg is down to Isaurian and Prezado.

I think there’s value in race seven, most notably Street Spun and Romelo. In race eight I’m keen to see how Doroza goes off a slick debut win and he does represent value. The last race looks between Ocean’s Fourteen and Tagreeda, but I will add a couple of roughies.

Bet: $50 3-5/1-3-4-5/1-4-11-13-14/4-9-12-13= 31.25%

Bet Three – Quaddie – Ipswich Quaddie
Just need to tick the first leg off and I think we’re good to go. Frangipani Moon debuts in race five and has looked outstanding in a couple of trials. The Lloyd/Vandyke combo is lethal at the moment.

Race six looks a trap but the most reliable looks to be The Zoff. The penultimate looks like a decent race, with Bright Idea creating interest first up. I’m going wide in the last and hoping for value.

Bet: $50 3/2-3-4-6/1-2-3-4/3-4-5-6-10= 62.50%

Bet Four – Quaddie – Gawler Quaddie
I’m taking a chance, like at Ipswich, going one out with a first starter in the opening leg in the shape of Orbost, who has looked quite good in a couple of trials for Will Clarken. Jamie Kah steers.

It is a tricky second leg but got it down to four hopes. As for race seven, I’m pretty confident I’ve got it covered and have gone wide in the last and hoping for a double-figure winner.

Bet: $50 10/1-2-3-9/1-2-3-10/1-2-7-9-10= 62.50%

Bet Five – Each Way – Sandown Race Three Number 11 Union Dues
I think she’s clear overs here. Team Hawkes train this mare, who comes to Victoria after resuming at Kembla Grange where she was disinterested for the most part but once she put her mind to it, she worked home well late behind Eugene’s Pick, who ran well on Saturday at Rosehill.

1500m and big track should help her cause, and always respect the stable when they switch states.
