I had an almost $4000 collect via a Sandown quaddie on Wednesday, so hopefully we can continue with our winning ways on Thursday. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.
Bet 1: Win – Wagga Race 2, number 11: Event
She’s had a few chances to greet the judge, but gee she gets a great chance here. She’s third up now after a couple of really solid efforts over the 1150-metre distance range, the latest at Albury when trying hard but not quite getting there. Over 1200 metres, third up, with blinkers on and with Nick Heywood to steer, she’ll do me on a tough Wagga card.

Bet 2: Win – Moe Race 2, number 11: Star Creation
She’s been a test for the patience of punters, but I think Noel Callow can lift her home. She’s running very well, but the problem is that she’s not winning. I thought she was home last time at Tatura, but she couldn’t quite get past All About Ash. With blinkers on and a good draw, and with track and potential no issue, surely she’ll win this one.

Bet 3: Win – Moe Race 9, number 14: Stryker Queen
Matt Laurie trains this daughter of Stryker, and she has to be rated highly here off the back of an absolute spank job of her rivals last time at Sale to break the maiden status. She didn’t beat much, but it was the manner in which she did it that was impressive. She will be out of trouble on speed given she’s down in the weights, and the wet track won’t be an issue.

Bet 4: Win – Rockhampton Race 1, number one: Barbados Storm
Weight is the only thing that can beat this horse, otherwise he should be deep in the red. He ran over the mile here last week. Much like his recent starts, he has taken forever to wind up, but he has been strong to the line and through it. He rises 8.5 kilograms from last week but drops big time in grade, plus top jockey Adrian Coome steers.

Bet 5: Win – Rockhampton Race 5, number one: The Tax Accountant
I think he’s the second of two good things at Rocky. Tom Button trains this gelding, who is first up. He hasn’t raced since early May at Townsville, when he ran a narrow second to Hot Top. He should get the run of the race from the inside draw, and he looked forward enough to my eye in a slick trial effort at Yeppoon.

Hi Adam I do follow daily and find your tips always on or close to the money. Congrats on the Quaddie - I took each of them for small % as I am a $5 or $10 punter and was happy with the $110 return I achieved. Keep up the good work and see if the Roar email can be sent to subscribers daily as I sometimes have to search for it like yesterday and today. I guess that may be controlled outside your control. Also think the Quaddie idea was great and would like to see more of it. Thanks again from a happy and enthusiastic follower. John
