Decent racing across the board on Thursday, where I think we’ll see a nice type at Echuca. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.
Bet One- Win- Gosford Race One Number 2 Fancy Liquor
Looks a great bet for mine. Bjorn Baker trains this mare, who debuted at Hawkesbury and was a little unlucky behind Sylvia’s Mother, getting held up for most of the straight when having plenty to offer.
Being by Not A Single Doubt, she should swim so the wet track I think will definitely help her chances in an even maiden.

Bet Two- Win- Gosford Race Five Number 9 Fast Train
Just has to handle the give in the track and I think he’ll be winning. Looks a really nice colt for Gerald Ryan who is building up to a win.
Just looked a touch lost last time at Muswellbrook but once he knuckled down, he finished off quite strongly to run third. Blinkers for the first time and has more upside than most here.

Bet Three- Each Way- Gosford Race Eight Number 9 The Iron Maiden
She is an absolute beauty for the Jeff Englebrecht team and I think she’s definitely worth an each way ticket.
Ran over the Wyong mile last Friday where she lumped the big weight but despite that, she worked to the line well enough behind Panzerfaust. Has a good record at Gosford, Buckley back on and gets weight relief.

Bet Four- Win- Echuca Race Two Number 3 Hiemal
I think he’ll win if he puts it all together. Trialled up well prior to resuming at Bendigo where he was on speed most of the way under Lane and looked to travel well but just couldn’t quite finish it off when third to Turn The Tide.
Stack of gear changes to hopefully make him more genuine because he can turn it up a touch. Best horse in the race. Hopefully can show it.

Bet Five- Win- Echuca Race Six Number 10 All Points West
Looks the bet of the day for mine. Lisa Enright has a fab strike rate with her runners and that is much the same when she produces them first up.
Produced this girl first up over this track/distance in June where she was well backed and proved far too good for her rivals. Tipped out and looked very sharp in a recent Mornington jump out. Keen on her.
